SAVANNAH - Constance D. Davis, 99, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday evening, April 8, 2016, under the care of Hospice of Savannah. She was born September 22, 1916, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She was educated at Notre Dame Boarding School in Watertown, Loretta Academy in Hamilton, and Strathallen Finishing School in Hamilton, Ontario.

She moved from Madeira Beach, FL to Savannah in 2007 and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. In Florida she was a member of the Gulf Beach Women’s Club, All Children’s Hospital Guild (Gulf Beach Branch), St Elizabeth’s Guild at St. Ann of Grace Episcopal Church, as well as the Savannah Women’s Club. In 2000 she was awarded All Children’s Angel, and in 2006-7 she was voted Mrs. Santa for volunteer work with All Children’s Hospital Guild in St. Petersburg, FL.

She is survived by children Michael Downey of St. Petersburg, FL; Kathy Shoemaker (Craig) of Savannah, GA; Oscar Garland III of Savannah, GA; Laurie Elder (William-deceased) of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren Shawn Downey, Heather Gralow, Holly Taylor, Will Elder, Alexis Elder and five great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Interment will be private.
